Unleashing Your Inner Power: It's Time You Got to Live Like a Badass

Women dressed in black
Midlife is the time to let your inner badass shine, my amazing friends!!

Let’s cut the crap: Life after 50 isn’t about slowing down, fading out, or quietly shuffling yourself to the back of the line. Hell no! This is your time to break the status quo, shake up the old stories, and finally start living on your own goddamn terms.

But let’s be real—knowing you want more is easy. Actually making that shift? That’s where things get real. So, if you’re a brilliant, seasoned woman who doesn’t want to settle for just okay anymore, read on.

Why This Isn’t the End—It’s Just the Beginning

Somewhere along the way, society sold us a bill of goods about how we’re supposed to behave at this age. Play it safe. Be quiet and agreeable. Don’t make waves. Sound familiar? Well, I’m here to say screw all that. If you feel an itch you can’t quite scratch—a sense that you’re meant for more—listen to it. That’s your inner badass refusing to go quietly. Those desires were not put in your heart by accident, the Universe, creator, higher power, planted those there for you! They are yours to own!

This chapter of your life isn’t about bowing out. It’s about stepping the hell up. There are generations of women coming after us and we have a responsibility to them to live out loud! To show them what they are capable of accomplishing, no matter what age.

The Awkward Magic of a Beginner’s Mindset

But wait… starting over? Trying new stuff? That sounds daunting. Yes, it sounds scary as shit sometimes. Who wants to be a beginner after decades of being the rock for everyone else? Here’s the thing: Beginners grow. Veterans get stuck.

When you ditch the pressure to be perfect, you create space to stumble, laugh, learn, and (eventually) master new things. It’s not about always getting it right—it’s about having the guts to show up and try. To be ok with making mistakes, and learning from them and getting better. Life is like "cosmic kindergarten," and we'll keep making the same mistake until we take the lesson and make changes. Then we get to move onto to our next lesson!!!

  • Want to start painting? DO it, even if your cat looks like a mutant squirrel at first.

  • Thinking about yoga or a new fitness routine? No one cares if you wobble—own that warrior pose!

  • Did you always want to run your own business, or write that damn book? Grab your laptop and get typing.

No judgment, no apologies, just bold, messy, liberating action.

Why Change Feels Freaking Impossible (But Isn’t)

Let’s address the elephant in the room: Most of us know what we want, but something (fear, self-doubt, or maybe just habit) keeps us parked in the same old spot. Newsflash: If you’re waiting for the “right time,” stop. The right time is as mythical as a polite telemarketer.

  • You’ve survived hard shit. (Probably with a side eye and a curse word or two.)

  • You’ve made a thousand pivots already—most you didn’t even plan for.

  • You have wisdom and grit that 20-somethings pay coaches to fake.

So why the hell not you, and why not now?

How to Take Action (Even If You Don’t Know Where to Start)

1. Call BS on Your Excuses

Stop letting the “I’m too old,” “It’s too late,” or “What will people think?” tape play on repeat. You get ONE ride around this planet—why spend it worried about what someone at PTA pick-up thinks?

2. Get Crystal Clear on What You Want

The more specific, the better. Want to travel solo to Paris? Write it down. Want to date again, adopt a dog, or just wake up excited for Mondays? Spell it out. Clarity is your secret weapon.

3. Break It Down (No, Really)

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and nobody expects you to go from the couch to Kilimanjaro overnight. What’s one thing you can do today? Tiny shifts lead to massive change.

4. Find Your Crew

Surround yourself with fire-starters and ass-kickers, not naysayers. Accountability is magic—whether it’s a coach (like me!), a best friend, or that Facebook group full of unapologetic women embracing midlife.

5. Celebrate the Hell Out of Every Win

Progress counts, not perfection. Toast yourself for every step, whether that’s registering for a class or finishing a chapter in your new journal.

Life’s Too Short for Regrets—Start Saying “Yes” to You

I’ll say it straight: You deserve to not only dream bigger but to actually freaking do the things that light you up. You have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself—and you sure as hell don’t need permission.

So, what’s stopping you? Fear? Uncertainty? The voice in your head that whispers, “Who do you think you are?” I’m telling you: You are a powerhouse. You are experienced, wise, and more resilient than you realize. You are so damn ready.

Ready to Make Your Move? Let’s Talk.

If you’re itching to rewrite your story and you want a coach in your corner who totally gets it (with a side of sass and zero judgment), I’m here. Let’s ditch the bullshit and get you living the bold, badass chapter you know you’re meant for.
