You Are Not Invisible—Reclaiming Your Power After 55

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get said out loud often enough: women over 55 are not done yet. Far from it. And yet, our culture often whispers (or shouts) that your best years are behind you. That you’ve aged out of relevance. That you should quietly fade into the background.
Sound familiar?
You’re not imagining it. A 2020 AARP study found that nearly 64% of women aged 50 and older believe they’ve been discriminated against in the workplace due to age (AARP, 2020). Whether it’s being passed over for a promotion, not being seen in social spaces, or feeling like your voice doesn’t carry the same weight it once did, this subtle (and sometimes blatant) ageism can leave even the most accomplished women questioning their value.
But here’s what I know to be true: your worth isn’t tied to your job title, your age, or anyone else’s expectations. Your story is still being written—and you get to decide what the next chapter looks like.
Why This Matters
The belief that women lose value as they age isn’t just outdated—it’s harmful. Research published in the Journal of Women & Aging shows that internalized ageism can negatively affect mental health and reduce overall life satisfaction (Allen et al., 2021). That’s why it’s so important to challenge these narratives and reconnect with your own definition of worth and purpose.
What You Can Do Now
As a life coach, I work with women just like you—smart, strong, and ready for more. Together, we dig into your values, your strengths, and your dreams—the ones you may have put on hold while raising a family, building a career, or caring for others. Then, we create a roadmap for what joy, fulfillment, and success look like now—on your terms.
Whether it’s rediscovering your creative voice, exploring a new career path, or simply feeling seen again, this stage of life is full of potential. It’s not about “reinventing” yourself. It’s about returning to who you’ve always been—with wisdom, confidence, and heart.
Ready to Take the First Step?
If any of this resonated with you, I’d love to invite you to a no-pressure, no-commitment conversation. Let’s chat about where you are, where you’d like to go, and how I can support you on your journey to a life that feels truly yours.
